A modern robust design, the Solo 330 is ideal for functional testing of all smoke detectors up to 9m / 30ft high using the Solo Access Poles.

As with all Solo tools the Solo 330 is quickly and easily interchangeable with other tools in the range.

  • Robust -to withstand the rigors of everyday use
  • Dispenser -conserves aerosol and dispersion of aerosol particles
  • Spring-loaded mechanism -for effective, economic aerosol delivery
  • Touch sensitive - ideal for suspended ceilings
  • Clear cup -allows view of detector LED
  • Strong & durable modern plastics technology - for long life & minimal weight
  • Lifetime warranty

The large cup enables the user to test detectors up to 13.3 cm / 5 ¼ inches in diameter without compromising the efficiency of the aerosol or the equipment.
The Solo 332 is compatible with the standard Solo telescopic and extension poles. Simply place over the detector and test as usual.

The cordless Solo 461, incorporating the innovative CAT™ (Cross Air Technology), activates 95% of all spot type heat detectors (fixed temperature, rate of rise and combination) within seconds. It provides a solution for testing heat detectors that is second to none.

  • Heat is directed straight at the detector sensor
  • Sets 95% of all spot heat detectors types into alarm within seconds
  • Tests detectors up to 9m / 30ft with Solo universal access poles
  • No cables - power from the battery baton is delivered to the unit via the frame
  • Infra-red beam is broken by detector to activate heat generation and economize battery power
  • Goes into standby after 120 seconds of use
  • Battery powered
  • Rechargeable from car

Available in 110 / 120V or 220 / 240V models, this cost effective product enables functional testing, up to 194°F / 90°C, of all makes and models of point type heat detector.

  • Rapid activation times
  • Lightweight and simple to use
  • Designed for use at height and at angles
  • Supplied with 5m / 16ft cable (additional 5m / 16ft cable available)

Detectors fitted out of reach present particular problems for removal and replacement. This universal detector removal tool is suitable for use on an extensive range of detector makes and sizes.  Color-coded heads rotate to provide a combination of settings and lock into place to fit different sized detectors. A universal joint enables detector removal and replacement even if the detector cannot be accessed from directly underneath

To help guarantee the performance of smoke detectors and reduce the number of false alarms from over-sensitive detectors, sensitivity should be measured. Regular sensitivity testing is obligatory under certain codes and standards.
Smoke detectors need to be independently tested for sensitivity using a third party device because their sensitivity can fluctuate. Over-sensitivity can cause false alarms and under-sensitivity delayed alarms.

Fire detectors are often located beyond the normal reach of a person. The traditional solution has been to use ladders or hire mobile platforms to service them, involving a lot of time and expense. These lightweight poles allow easy access to detectors, even those 9m / 30ft high

  • The poles are compatible with all Solo products and are available in one, two or four telescopic sections
  • Made from non-conductive, toughened fiberglass, suitable for use near electrical cabling
  • In addition poles use the 'Tot lock' system, which ensures that the extensions do not twist within themselves when removing detectors
  • Outstanding strength to weight ratio
  • Negligible 'whip' at 9m / 30ft height

The professional's choice for ultimate value.

Too many test aerosols in today's fire detection market have not been fully researched and, as a result, can cause problems such as
stress-cracking in detectors.

Solo Detector Duster is ideal to assist with the cleaning of detectors from debris that can collect on detector surfaces. This debris is one of the causes of detector drift in sensitivity and can possibly lead to detector false alarms, or in worse cases, a failure to alarm in a case of fire.

To clean the detector, simply remove the detector head at any height up to 9m / 30ft with the Solo 200 Removal Tool and blow the debris using Solo Detector Duster.
